Nuno J. DoCarmo Jr., 21, of 12 Jameson St., Fairhaven, was pronounced died in an accident aboard the fishing vessel Pilgrim I. Born in New Bedford, the son of Alice (Costa) and Nuno J. DoCarmo Sr. of Fairhaven, he lived in Fairhaven for ten years and was a communicant of St. Joseph Church. He was a 1971 graduate of Fairhaven High School.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Michael of Fairhaven, and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Maria DoCarmo of Portugal.

Nuno DoCarmo was struck on the head by a block while aboard the fishing vessel Pilgrim I on June 30, 1974. He was taken to Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
